About Us

Our humble beginnings....

Our creche was established in 2008 by Motlalepule Mngomezulu, merely as a house, by then offering day care facilities to toddlers when their parents had gone to work. Up to now it has grown significantly catering for young babies (1 to 2 years), toddlers (3 years to 4 years) and Grade R students (5 to six years of age).

How we work...

Clothing

For 3 to 6 years old, parents are requested to see to it that young children wear clothes in which they are comfortable to play sports, to explore with clay and any other materials which may cause them to be dirty. 1 to 2 years we use Pampers until your child is potty trained.

Medication

If a child is under some medication please give the child first dose at home. The second one will be given at home after school. The last dose at home in the evening. We only accept the medicine only if the child takes four times a day. Do not put the medicine in the bag.

....

Refreshments

Children will have breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack at the centre. No sweets or toys may be brought through. The school will not be answerable for any loss of sweets or any food item carried through.

Celebrations

Events such as a birthday is great in every child's life and others would love to share in it. In case you want it to be celebrated at school the centre and the parents may arrange before hand to bring refreshments on this day and they are welcome to stay and enjoy the party.

It may be difficult to find a good creche in developing townships, if you don't know what centres they have and if they are up to the standard.

*Management Structure

Lorraine Motlalepule  Diphoko

Founder and Principal

Lorraine's journey in early childhood development (ECD) did not start in 2008, when she founded the Kagiso Day & After Care Centre. ECD is in her blood, for Motlalepule's mother runs a successful centre in Soweto, in this way, her passion and love for this sector was born in her at her mother's home.

With a level 4 certification in early childhood development and a business management training, Motlalepule is empowered to run her centre properly. And its success is apparent to anyone that visits it. Her vision is to provide the best ecd service at local level for the benefit of township children, who mostly find it difficult to access such services.
